Terms & Conditions

1.1 These Terms govern the use of this website and all purchases from Berling Atelier AB (“Berling”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

1.2 By placing an order, you accept these Terms as published at checkout for that order.

2.1 Your order is an offer to buy; a binding contract forms when we confirm by email.

2.2 We may refuse or cancel an order (e.g., suspected fraud, pricing/stock errors, operational constraints). Any payment taken will be refunded to the original method.

2.3 We may limit quantities per customer/household.

3.1 The total shown at checkout is the final amount you pay for your destination.

3.2 EU: prices include VAT at the applicable rate.

3.3 Non-EU: orders ship DDP; import duties and taxes are included—no extra on delivery.

3.4 Supported currencies vary by market; where not supported, transactions are processed in EUR as shown at checkout.

4.1 Payment is captured at checkout (including pre-orders).

4.2 We use PCI-compliant processors; your bank may require 3-D Secure.

4.3 Available methods vary by country and may include:

• Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro
• Apple Pay, Google Pay
• PayPal
• Bancontact, iDeal
• Klarna (Pay Later / Pay Now / Slice It, where available)

4.4 You authorize charges to your selected method.

4.5 If a payment is declined, you remain responsible for providing a valid method to complete the order.

5.1 Pre-orders reserve future stock; indicative timeframes appear on the product page.

5.2 Cancellation: pre-orders may be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund, unless marked made-to-order or personalised.

5.3 Personalised/made-to-order items are final sale, except where defective or non-conforming under mandatory law.

6.1 Complimentary worldwide shipping via fully tracked premium carriers, including express services such as DHL Express.

6.2 We typically dispatch within 1 business day. Orders placed before 12:00 CET usually dispatch the same day; weekends and public holidays dispatch the next business day.

6.3 After dispatch, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking. Depending on destination and service, carrier tools may allow rescheduling, redirecting within the same country, pickup point delivery, signature preferences, or a temporary hold.

6.4 We may update or substitute carriers without reducing service level.

7.1 Title passes on full payment.

7.2 Risk passes on delivery to the address you provided (including any authorized no-signature option).

7.3 Undeliverable or uncollected parcels may be returned and treated per §8.

8.1 Berling return policy: 30 days from delivery; items must be unused, with all original packaging and accessories.

8.2 EU right of withdrawal: statutory 14 days from delivery; our 30-day policy exceeds this minimum.

8.3 Exclusions: No items are currently designated final sale. If personalised or made-to-order products are introduced in the future, those items may be final sale except where defective or non-conforming under mandatory law (details will be shown on the relevant product page).

8.4 Process: initiate a return via your account or contact us; follow the instructions provided.

8.5 Return shipping: customer-paid for standard returns; covered by Berling for defective or incorrect items. Use a tracked service and retain proof.

8.6 International returns to Sweden (non-EU): mark the parcel and customs forms “Returned Goods” and attach the invoice externally to avoid re-import charges.

8.7 Exchanges: return for refund and place a new order.

9.1 Purchases are covered by the Swedish Consumer Sales Act.

9.2 You may complain within three (3) years of delivery about original defects.

9.3 If a defect appears within two (2) years of delivery, it is presumed to have existed at delivery unless we prove otherwise.

9.4 Remedies include repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund, as provided by law.

9.5 A complaint made within two months from discovery of a defect is always considered timely.

10.1 Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 2–3 business days of acceptance.

10.2 Posting times depend on your bank or payment provider.

11.1 Our goods are handcrafted; minor variations in color, grain, or dimensions are inherent to natural materials and artisanal production.

11.2 Images are professionally color-managed; display may vary by device.

11.3 We reserve the right to update specifications and availability without prior notice.

12.1 All content (designs, images, text, trademarks) is owned by Berling or our licensors.

12.2 No reproduction, distribution, or derivative use without prior written consent.

13.1 Use the site lawfully; do not scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with security, or misuse services.

13.2 Accounts are optional; you are responsible for safeguarding credentials and all activity under your login.

13.3 We may restrict access for violations or to maintain site integrity.

13.4 Third-party links: we are not responsible for external sites or their content, terms, or policies.

14.1 We may correct errors (including pricing), update information, or change/withdraw products at any time.

14.2 If an error affects an order after payment, we will cancel and refund or contact you to confirm at corrected terms.

14.3 We may set purchase limits to preserve fairness and availability.

15.1 We process personal data, including in connection with any optional SMS/text message service (“SMS Service”), in accordance with our Privacy & Cookies Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

15.2 By using the site, placing an order, or subscribing to the SMS Service, you acknowledge the Privacy & Cookies Policy as applicable to that activity.

15.3 We may offer the SMS Service for order updates and marketing. Participation is voluntary and not required for any purchase.

15.4 By opting in, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages to the mobile number you provide. Messages may be sent using automated technology and message frequency may vary. We do not charge a fee for the SMS Service, but your mobile operator’s message and data rates may apply.

15.6 Mobile operators are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. You must provide a valid mobile number and update it if it changes. We may change or discontinue the SMS Service, or change the sending number, at any time.

16.1 These Terms and purchases are governed by Swedish law; mandatory consumer protections of your residence country remain.

16.2 If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may submit it to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), Sweden’s National Board for Consumer Disputes (independent ADR). We participate in good faith in ADR procedures.

16.3 Court proceedings may be brought before Swedish general courts unless otherwise required by applicable law.

17.1 We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses.

17.2 Our aggregate liability relating to a purchase is limited to the price paid for the item(s).

17.3 Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

18.1 We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control (including natural disasters, strikes, carrier failures, governmental actions, and power/network outages).

18.2 Affected obligations are suspended for the duration of the event.

19.1 We may update these Terms; the version shown at checkout when you order applies to that order.

19.2 Material updates will be reflected on this page.
