Care Guidance
Product Care
Crafted from some of the world’s most exceptional leathers, each piece from the House reflects a legacy of excellence and enduring beauty.
Meant to accompany you for years to come, it is shaped by time and by the life you carry it through. To help your piece age with grace and integrity, follow the care guidance below.
Keep in good company
Store your companion in calm surroundings. Prolonged sunlight, heat, or humidity can alter the finish. When not in use, keep it away from abrasive contact and avoid overfilling pockets or bags, which can distort its silhouette. Choose a dedicated place that is clean, dry, and out of direct light. If it becomes damp, let it air-dry naturally away from heat, then buff lightly.
Let time leave its mark
Shell Cordovan is one of the few leathers that truly honors time. Its color deepens and its luster grows, the patina reflects the life it accompanies. These changes are hallmarks, not flaws. To protect the surface, avoid contact with ink, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, denim dye, and cosmetics, which may leave persistent marks.
Polish, don't pamper
Care is a quiet act of respect. Most days, a soft cloth or a gentle brush will revive the surface. When it looks dry or dull, apply a small amount of neutral cream formulated for Shell Cordovan and buff in light, circular motions. Avoid harsh cleaners, saddle soap, and over-conditioning, which can mute the natural sheen over time. The goatskin lining needs little attention: wipe with a dry, soft cloth only. No creams required.
