Card Holders

The Heirloom Collection is a small series of shell cordovan card holders, made entirely in our atelier in Sweden. Shell cordovan is one of the rarest leathers in production, and each piece is saddle-stitched by hand and lined with full-grain French goatskin.

Each card holder has two exterior slots and a central pocket, designed to carry three cards and folded notes. Shell cordovan holds its shape best when kept lightly filled, which is also what keeps the profile slim in a pocket.

The palette is unusually broad for shell cordovan. Anthracite and the deeper blues and greens stay closest to their first appearance. The warm browns, ambers and reds tend to change the most, deepening in tone and gaining sheen as the surface develops patina. The choice is between a shade that stays relatively constant and one that records its use more visibly. How the color develops is explained in our shell cordovan guide.

Each card holder is lined in full-grain French goatskin. Its fine, tight grain keeps the interior thin and cards slide cleanly against it. Why we pair these two leathers is explained on Our Leathers.

Availability is shown on each product page. In-stock colors usually dispatch within one business day. When a color sells out, a limited number of pre-order places may open before the production run closes, and the expected dispatch window is shown before you order.

Each card holder arrives in a protective dust bag, placed in our signature white presentation box and tied with a black cotton ribbon. It is ready to give as it arrives.
